Horror fans will want to check out the new Blumhouse horror The Black Phone. When is the movie heading to DVD and Blu-ray?

Any horror fan will turn to Blumhouse for good stories. The great news is the production company recently had a new release. The Black Phone arrived at the end of June, and now we’re ready to see it added to our DVD and Blu-ray collections.

Of course, a release date hasn’t been confirmed just yet. We are expecting on in the coming days, but for now, we can look at other Universal Pictures (a co-production studio in this venture) movies to get an idea as to when we could see the Ethan Hawke movie on DVD and Blu-ray.

When will The Black Phone come to DVD?

We’re looking at The 355 and The Northman for an idea of DVD release date. Both of these movies took about six weeks to go from theaters to DVD. With that in mind, we could be looking at sometime around early August 2022 for The Black Phone.

Firestarter was a recent Blumhouse/Universal Pictures release. That movie took about the same time as The Northman and The 355 to come to DVD and Blu-ray, further suggesting that the beginning of August is when we should look out for the release.

We’re likely to see it head to Digital very soon. Universal Pictures movies are heading to Peacock after just 45 days in theaters, so that’s affecting Digital releases too.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the plan for the latest release. We’re ready for it to happen as soon as possible. Blumhouse horrors are among the best out there, and you’ll want to add this one to your collection.
