When is The Northman coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

The Northman is currently out in theaters, and it’s certainly not a movie you’ll want to miss. When will The Northman come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Movies and shows are all about Vikings at the moment. We just have to look at the popularity surrounding the likes of Vikings and The Last Kingdom. It’s not surprising to see that there’s a movie currently out in theaters focusing on the same time period.

Alexander Skarsgård stars as Prince Amleth, who has to live through the murder of his father and the abduction of his mother by his uncle. Two decades later, Amleth is now a Viking heading around the Slavic villages to raid them. He has one focus on his mind though: kill his uncle. He wants to save his mom and avenge is dad.

You’ll want to see the movie in theaters, for sure. Once you’ve done that, you’ll want to add it to your DVD collection.

The Northman DVD and Blu-ray release date

There isn’t a release date for the movie just yet. That’s not surprising as it has only just been released in theaters. Instead, we’re looking at other movies from the same production studio to get an idea of the potential release date.

The Northman is in a Focus Features movie. For the sake of this post, we’re looking at Last Night in Soho and Harriet to get a sense of the DVD and Blu-ray release date.

It took almost three months for the two movies to go from theaters to DVD. With that in mind, we’re looking at the middle of July as a potential release date for this one. It could be around July 12 if we had to put a set prediction date out there.

The movies came out on Digital two weeks earlier than the DVD and Blu-ray release date. In this case, we’re looking at the end of June or start of July for the Viking-based movie to come to Digital.
