The Wilds Season 3 is not coming to Prime Video in June 2022

Our eyes are on what’s next for the teenagers currently still trapped in the social experiment. Now we wait for news about The Wilds Season 3.

The worst news isn’t that The Wilds Season 3 isn’t coming this month. The worst bit of this is that we just don’t know if the third season is even going to happen. Prime Video still hasn’t officially renewed the series.

It is one of many currently in limbo. We’re waiting on updates for Outer Range, Night Sky, and Undone, as well as this one. With it taking two months for Prime Video to confirm Upload Season 3 would happen, we’re not too concerned at this point. We have until July to get some sort of renewal confirmation.

When will The Wilds Season 3 come to Prime Video?

Assuming that the third season is going to happen, we now need to look at when. It took about 18 months for The Wilds Season 2 to make it to Prime Video. However, some of that was due to the pandemic. Filming will be able to get started sooner, and there won’t be as many delays in the process next time.

That could mean the wait time is reduced to the regular 14 months or so. With that in mind, we’re looking at July 2023 as a release month. The summer certainly makes sense for a series like this. After all, the teenagers are trapped in a place that is warm and sunny! Might as well match with the U.S. summer.

For this to happen, we need a renewal sooner rather than later. The longer it takes for a renewal, the longer it takes for the writers to get back in action. That then delays the production process. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for Prime Video’s decision on this series.
