Upload Season 3 is not coming to Prime Video in June 2022

Back in May, we finally got the update that Upload Season 3 would happen. Now we need to know when the series will return to Prime Video.

It took some time, but Prime Video finally brought us good news during the middle of May. Upload is officially renewed for a third season. We’d already expected it based on the fact that writing had started before the official renewal came in, but it was good to get the confirmation.

Now the wait is on for that third season. We’d love to say that it was on the June list of releases on Prime Video, but that’s not the case. It’s going to take some time for this show to arrive.

When will Upload Season 3 come to Prime Video?

We’re not expecting the third season in 2022 at all. It just isn’t possible to write, produce, and edit this series within that timeframe. Consider the fact that Space Force wrapped production after Upload but arrived before it due to the level of graphics needed in Upload.

So, while writing has started, there are no signs that production has just yet. Robbie Amell and co. are open about sharing when production starts and finishes so we get an idea of when we can expect the series.

It took 11 months of post-production from when the series wrapped in April 2021. With that in mind, we’re looking at the end of 2023 at the earliest for Upload Season 3. That’s assuming that production starts soon and wraps before 2022 comes to an end.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this series. At least the writers were so certain of a renewal that the writing work has started. That helps to reduce some of the wait time.
