Good Omens Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in June 2022

We know that Good Omens Season 2 is happening. What about a release date? Sadly, the show isn’t arriving on Prime Video in June 2022.

We would love to say that Good Omens Season 2 was a sneaky addition to the June releases on Prime Video. That’s not the case, though, and we didn’t expect it.

The great news is the season is happening. This isn’t based on much source material. There was an unfinished sequel, which is what the season is based on. That sequel novel has never been released, and it’s been up to Neil Gaiman to finish off the story himself.

When is Good Omens Season 2 coming to Prime Video?

We don’t yet have a release date. However, production is complete. That was finished back in March, and now the season is in post-production.

Gaiman did recently take to social media to respond to an excited fan about the season. The fan commented on how there had been two Doctors, multiple Marvel movies, and much more since we’ve waited for the second season of the comedic series. When would the second season come out?

Gaiman’s witty response ended up with him commenting not to attack the fan. It turns out that some people didn’t read the humor in the written words—that happens often. However, he also clarified that with production only just finishing, there is still a lot of work and no air date just yet.

The work is the post-production process. For a series like this, we’re looking at around six to eight months of post-production. With six episodes, it could be kept to just six months, but it could mean we’re waiting until the end of 2022 for the release.
