There is some bad news for those who want to watch the movie on Prime Video. Downton Abbey: A New Era is not coming to Prime Video. At least, not right away.

This is a Focus Features movie. These movies now head to Peacock, although they used to head to HBO. The licensing rights changed in 2022.

Update: Peacock has confirmed a June 24 release date.

There is some good news when it comes to watching on Amazon in other ways. This is a movie that will head to Digital at a later date. This means that it will be available on Amazon Instant Video.

It’s not exactly clear when the release will be. We have made some predictions, but we’ll need to wait for Focus Features to confirm the release date.

When buying on Digital via Amazon, there’s no need to keep paying a subscription. The movie will be added to Amazon Library, and it will remain there so you can watch it whenever you want for as long as Amazon exists.
