There is no doubt that we’re ready to see what’s in store in Middle Earth. The wait for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power continues, though.

We are ready to head back to Middle Earth. We want to see what’s in store for the various creatures and species. We just have to wait a little longer for that.

As much as we’d love to say “surprise,” the wait for The Lord of the Rings continues. The series is not on the list of titles coming to Prime Video in May 2022. We even double-checked the list just in case there was an exciting change to talk about.

When is The Lord of the Rings coming to Prime Video?

The good news is we do have a light at the end of the tunnel. We know when The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is coming to Prime Video. Amazon shared last year that the premiere would drop on Friday, Sept. 2.

This is going to be a show released weekly. With the effort put into it, that shouldn’t be too surprising. The creators and the streamer will want people to keep talking about it for weeks to come, and a weekly release format is the best way to gain that.

When we do get to see Middle Earth, it’s going to be one very different to the one we knew. This is a prequel series, so we’re going to see a world where Elves aren’t hidden away, and Moria isn’t an abandoned mine. Kingdoms are being created, and the different creatures have a way of living peacefully. Of course, the creation of the rings is what brings problems, and that’s what we’ll get to see play out.
