Jack Ryan Season 4 confirmed as the last at Prime Video

Prime Video brought some disappointing news for all Jack Ryan fans. Jack Ryan Season 4 is going to be the last of the series.

We were certainly disappointed to hear the latest news about Jack Ryan. While we still wait for the third season to premiere, Jack Ryan Season 4 is confirmed as the last. In a way, this is a good thing as the writers have some time to wrap things up—and there is a chance that it was pitched as the last season, which is why we ended up with such an early renewal in 2021. It does sound like four seasons was the plan when John Krasinski signed on.

Filming of the fourth season is happening right now. The third season is still in post-production, and we are expecting it sometime in the back half of 2022. A date hasn’t been confirmed just yet.

Deadline brought us the news of the ending of the series, but there was some good news potentially thrown in.

Jack Ryan Season 4 may not be the end of the franchise as a whole

While the fourth season is going to be the end of the John Krasinski series, that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the entire franchise. This is a popular franchise, and Deadline shared that there is a potential spin-off happening.

Michael Peña is working on a series focused on Ding Chavez, another character in the Jack Ryan franchise.

Peña is going to be a series regular in Jack Ryan Season 4. He will initially be introduced at the end of the third season, though. He is set to play Domingo “Ding” Chavez, so it makes sense that he’ll bring a spin-off focused on his character. Introducing him at the end of Season 3 and then working him into Season 4 is a great way to help us get to know him and feel connected to him for a spin-off series.
