There is no doubt that you binge-watched The Outlaws as soon as you saw it on Prime Video. It’s an excellent comedy, and brings in an element of drama and horror depending on the situation. Now you want more. After all, six episodes was not enough!

It could seem a little early to even think about a second season. The series only dropped on Prime Video today. However, it has already aired in the UK, with fans getting to see it throughout the end of 2021. We’ve just had to wait a little longer.

Is The Outlaws Season 2 happening at Prime Video?

There is some great news when it comes to this series. We already know that The Outlaws Season 2 is happening. That was confirmed even before the first season had a premiere date.

According to Digital Spy, the early renewal happened because of COVID-19. Filming on the first season started and then 10 days later they were shut down. Stephen Merchant decided that he needed to work and asked the BBC to write the second season. They could then film the two seasons back-to-back.

That’s exactly what happened in the end. And the BBC is probably not complaining about taking the risk. The show quickly became the most popular comedy of 2021 in the UK.

The second season is going to be a direct continuation of the story from the first season. All the characters will return, which I guess could be a spoiler for those who haven’t made it to the end yet. You know characters don’t get killed off! The offenders won’t just have to serve out the rest of their sentence but figure out how to deal with the consequences of their recent actions.
