Belfast and more coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week (March 1)

It’s time for more movies to head to DVD and Blu-ray. Belfast is the biggest release of the week, but here’s what to look forward to.

There aren’t many DVD and Blu-ray releases happening this week. It’s on the quiet side to get us ready for a busy rest of the month. That doesn’t mean there’s nothing to watch.

Belfast is certainly the biggest release, a movie that has landed a number of Oscar nominations. It’s set in the 1960s, at a time when the troubles in Northern Ireland picked up. One family is faced with choosing a side, and we see most of it through the eyes of a young boy who just wants to enjoy his young life.

Run & Gun, Demonic, and more

If you’re looking for a thriller, you’ll want to check out Run & Gun. It follows Ray, who wants to leave his life of crime behind and take the boring road through life. However, the secrets of his past catch up to him, and Ray has no choice but to accept a job he doesn’t want.

For the horror fans out there, Demonic is the movie to check out. It’s another supernatural horror movie that examines how forces out of our control will take a toll on our lives. Angela and Carly are an estranged mother and daughter pair due to Angel’s criminal actions. When Carly gets a call from a woman who claims to be from a focus group that includes her mother, Carly finds herself mixed up in some supernatural activity.

Finally, there’s The Pilot. A Battle for Survival, which is set in 1941 Europe. The Nazis have taken over Europe and the German offensive is getting closer and closer to Moscow. Nikolai is a Russian pilot who ends up fighting for his life when his plane is shot down.
