The Wheel of Time Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in March 2022

Our eyes are on when our favorite Amazon shows will return with new seasons. The Wheel of Time Season 2 is not coming in March 2022.

While the full list of releases on Prime Video in March 2022 isn’t out yet, there are a few shows that we know won’t be on that list. The Wheel of Time Season 2 is one of those shows.

We’re certainly patiently waiting for it. However, we’re not expecting it any time soon. The first season only just finished airing back in December 2021. That doesn’t stop us wondering when we could see the new season, and there is a good chance of getting it in 2022.

The Wheel of Time Season 2 release date predictions on Prime Video

We learned The Wheel of Time Season 2 was happening before the first season even got a premiere date. In fact, production on the series starting back in July 2021. Filming is still happening, though, which is something to keep in mind.

After filming, there is the post-production stage. For a show like this, it’s going to take at least six months of editing, but we’re expecting more on the lines of eight or nine months. There are a lot of visual effects to add in for the magic.

This leads to us believing the new season won’t arrive until the end of 2022. We’re looking at around November again.

We’re also expecting the hybrid release format. This has worked well for many of the big shows. We just have to look at premium cable networks like SHOWTIME and HBO to see that the weekly release format isn’t dead yet. There are a lot of big shows like Billions, Euphoria, and Peacemaker. It only makes sense that Prime Video is looking to release more shows like this.
