Reacher Season 2 release date predictions, cast, synopsis, and more

We got some great news just days after the release of Reacher on Prime Video. Reacher Season 2 is happening, and here’s what we know so far.

The great news is Reacher Season 2 is definitely happening. It took just days for Prime Video to see the successful series that it had. That’s not surprising when you consider the love for Lee Child’s novels.

Things have gone silent since the confirmation of the renewal. Again, it’s not surprising. There is now a lot to work out behind the scenes for the second season.

What do we know about Reacher Season 2 so far? Here’s everything, and we’ll update when we get more details.

Reacher Season 2 release date predictions

We don’t know when the show will release its second season just yet. It’s not likely to arrive this year.

It takes about 14 to 18 months for the majority of Prime shows to release new seasons. We could look at the earlier time frame with such an early renewal, but that’s no guarantee. Just look at how The Boys got early renewals and still took time to release new seasons—okay, the pandemic caused a delay for Season 3, but not for Season 2!

So, we’re likely looking at April 2023 at the earliest. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this.

Reacher Season 2 cast

The only cast member we know that will return is Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher. We need our titular character.

From there, it’s going to depend on how the writers choose to handle the storylines. The novels move on with different characters depending on the locations. This makes sense for the drifter that Jack is.

Ritchson even told Collider that the series would likely become an anthology. Think of it a little like Sinner.

Reacher Season 2 synopsis

We don’t yet know which book the writers will develop next. From this point, there’s no need to cover them in order, although doing things in order will likely make the book fans happier.

If that happens, the story will move on to Die Trying, which sees Jack head to Chicago. In fact, Jack is abducted with an unknown woman in broad daylight. It turns out the woman is a Special Agent from the Chicago FBI office, so naturally, the FBI is on this case.
