Invincible Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in February 2022

We’re on the lookout for all our favorite TV shows heading back to Prime Video. Invincible Season 2 is one we’re excited about, but the wait continues.

Invincible was one of those surprise releases in 2021. It really shouldn’t have been considering the success of the comics that it is based on, but you just never know how adaptations are going to perform.

In this case, it was everything we needed and more. Even the weekly release didn’t hinder this series, and it wasn’t surprising to see that it got a two-season renewal after that success.

Now we’re just waiting for the episodes. The show isn’t on the list of Prime Video releases in February 2022. We double-checked that list just in case. When could we expect to see it?

When will Invincible Season 2 come to Prime Video?

It’s hard to make a call on this. The creators have been pretty quiet on things. The last Steven Yeun shared about it was in January 2022 and that was that work hadn’t even started on it yet.

With how long animation can take, this doesn’t sound promising for a release in the first half of 2022. We’re looking at the back half at the earliest, and probably toward the end of that back half. We’re hoping it’s not into 2023.

The delay could be strategic for Prime Video though. Due to the delays in filming in 2020 and into 2021, there are a lot of Amazon shows that will be ready for release throughout this year. Prime Video will want to space those shows out to make sure each month has something to look forward to. Pushing some shows into 2023 will make some sense to help with that.
