The new Jack Reacher series is heading to Prime Video this month. What is the Reacher age rating? Is this one to watch with the kids?

There is some excellent news for Jack Reacher fans around the world. Reacher is heading to Prime Video on Friday, Feb. 4. All eight episodes will drop at once, and there’s no doubt that you’ll want to check it out.

The big question is whether you can watch it right away. Will you need to wait for the kids to go to bed first?

Now, you know your kids best. Some of this is going to depend on their ages and maturity levels. However, it’s worth checking out the official Reacher age rating to determine if this is right for the kids.

Reacher age rating

The official age rating for the Reacher series on Prime Video is TV-MA. This is the equivalent to an R rating in the movies, which means it is for 18+.

The majority of countries around the world have set the age rating to 18+. That’s certainly the case for Australia and Canada. You’ll want to double-check the rating in your own country by heading to Prime Video right now. Even though the show isn’t yet available, the title is on the site and you can watch the trailer through it.

This does mean that the series isn’t designed for people under 18. There is a lot of violence and language. Considering who Jack Reacher is, that shouldn’t be all too surprising.

You’ll know your children best, though. If you think the series is suitable for them then you can put it on. If you know this isn’t the type of show they’re going to enjoy or be able to sit through, you’ll want to wait to watch it.
