Is Upload Season 2 coming to Prime Video in 2022?

There are a lot of Amazon shows we’re waiting for. Upload Season 2 is one of them. Will it arrive on Prime Video in 2022?

2021 was on the quiet side when it came to new episodes of top Amazon shows. The pandemic caused filming delays, which meant we’ve had to wait a whole year for the majority of the returning shows. The Expanse was an exception, but honestly, it would have been better to wait for more episodes to fully tell the final story.

This isn’t about The Expanse, though. It’s about Upload Season 2. We’ve had to wait since May 2020 to continue the story. Will we get to see it the next episodes arrive on Prime Video in 2022?

Upload Season 2 is coming to Prime Video in 2022

We had hoped that the series would arrive in 2021. After all, filming wrapped fairly early, but this is a show that takes a lot of post-production work. It’s worth it for the amount of visual effects within the digital world.

While we didn’t get it in 2021, we do have some good news. Amazon announced that it will bring us the second season in 2022. In fact, we even have a premiere date. Upload Season 2 will premiere on Friday, March 11.

There’s even better news for the binge-watchers out there. While Prime Video is moving into a hybrid release format, that’s not happening with this dramedy. All episodes of the season will arrive at once as a binge-watch.

There are going to be seven episodes to the season. This is disappointing for those who loved having 10 episodes in the first season. It just seems like shows are getting shorter and shorter! Hopefully, there’s enough time to fully tell the story, especially when these episodes tend to run around the 30-minute mark instead of the hour.

Upload Season 2 is heading to Prime Video on Friday, March 11.
