Will The Tender Bar come to DVD and Blu-ray?

The Tender Bar is now on Amazon Prime Video to watch as much as you want. Will you be able to own it on DVD and Blu-ray in the future?

You can watch the movie on Amazon Prime Video at no extra cost with your Prime membership. But what if you want to get rid of Prime in the future? Or what if you don’t have a stable enough internet connection but have a DVD player?

You want to own as much as possible on DVD still. There’s a reason movies and shows still head to DVD and Blu-ray. 4K releases are now a big thing as technology continues to grow. Now you just need to know if a movie is heading to DVD and Blu-ray in the future.

The Tender Bar probably won’t head to DVD and Blu-ray

We have some bad news about this Amazon release. There’s a chance that it isn’t going to make it to physical disc. The Tender Bar is an Amazon movie, and they don’t usually make it to DVD and Blu-ray. It doesn’t make sense for Amazon to take people away from the streaming platform.

The movie did head to theaters for a limited release. This could lead to a DVD release, but we’ve not seen it happen with most other Amazon movies. Beautiful Boy, The Big Sick, and many others are still waiting for DVD release dates, so there’s no reason to think that The Tender Bar will be any different.

We’re also not expecting it to come to Digital. Again, it doesn’t make sense for Amazon to release a movie to buy on Digital. It would take people away from the streaming platform, meaning content isn’t exclusive to Amazon Prime Video. Why would it want to do that? It doesn’t make a lot of business sense.

The Tender Bar is currently only available on Amazon Prime Video.
