While there was certainly movement on the list of most read Amazon books the week before New Year, most movement involved books between themselves. There was only one new addition on the list, and that was at the very bottom.

The one new addition on the list entered in 20th place. Sold on a Monday by Kristina McMorris joined the list. There is time for it to move up the list, but this isn’t a new release.

Sold on a Monday was released in August 2018. It’s not clear why it suddenly jumped up onto the list this week.

Outlander and The Wheel of Time hold

The ninth book in the Outlander story, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, continues to hold the top spot on the list. It will be interesting to see how long it remains there. None of the other books have made it to the list just yet.

Meanwhile, the first The Wheel of Time book remains in second place. The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan was the basis of the first season, which ended on Christmas Eve.

It shouldn’t be surprising to hear that the second book The Great Hunt has held steady. That sits in 17th place, and we may see it gain spots as more people pick up the books to get ahead of the series.

Fallout by Craig Alanson dropped five places on the list. It was the biggest drop and knocked it out of the Top 15. Meanwhile, Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir gained three places, narrowly missing out on a place back in the TOp 10.
