The Wilds Season 2 is not coming to Amazon in December 2021

There are a few Amazon shows we’d hoped to see before 2021 came to an end. The Wilds Season 2 was one of them, but there’s still a wait on our hands.

We had hoped to see some of our favorite Amazon shows from 2020 to get new seasons in 2021. It has been hard due to the pandemic, though. A lot of shows had to wait until January 2021 to even start filming, which has caused some delays.

The Wilds Season 2 is one of the shows we hoped to see. Sadly, it wasn’t on the list of Amazon releases in December 2021. This isn’t all too surprising, but we were hoping for a Christmas surprise.

The Wilds Season 2 release date

We don’t yet know just how long it’s going to be for The Wilds Season 2 to premiere on Amazon. We had hoped that it would arrive in November or December 2021. After all, the first season dropped in September 2020, and usually, Amazon shows take 14 to 18 months between seasons.

However, the pandemic caused a few problems with filming. A delay in the start of filming has led to a delay in post-production and the season’s release.

The good news is The Wilds Season 2 wrapped filming a few months ago. It is going through the post-production stage, and there is a chance that we’ll see it in early 2022. Right now, the show doesn’t have a release date, but we’re hoping to get one soon.

What to expect on The Wilds Season 2

The ending to The Wilds Season 1 made it clear that the Dawn of Eve program wasn’t the only one happening. The Twilight of Adam was another program, similar to that with the girls but with boys instead. It looked like that one was going a lot more successfully.

Granted, there would have been a few factors in play to initially allow the boys just get on with things. They wouldn’t have lost the adult within the group there to help keep the teenagers safe.

We’ll get a chance to see how the boys have managed life on their island (or maybe their part of the island?). We should also get to find out what actually happened to the various members of the Dawn of Eve.
