If there’s one movie everyone is looking forward to, it’s Dune. It’s not surprising that the book by Frank Herbert has moved up the list of most read Amazon books.

It’s getting very hard to write these posts and compare to the previous week. Once again, the list from the previous week has changed on Amazon. Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty gained 11 places to take over the top spot last week, but that wasn’t the list we had when we wrote the post!

We’re going to keep an eye on things for this week. If these lists keep changing, we’ll be forced to push back the release of the list to the end of the week.

The Top 3 has changed very slightly. Dune by Frank Herbert made its way up into third place. That’s not surprising considering it’s getting exceptionally close for the movie to come out in theaters and on HBO Max.

Those who are ready for the movie will want to read the book first. It’s important to understand the world created and see just who well the movie has transformed the source material.

The Top 2 remained the same, though. Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty remained in the top spot, with Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix keeping second place. With Dune moving up, two other Harry Potter books moved down but remained in the Top 5.

The Sandman Act II enters the list

There was one new entry on the list of most read Amazon books. The Sandman: Act II by Neil Gaiman and Dirk Maggs entered the list for the first time. This isn’t surprising considering The Sandman got a chance to shine at NYCC 2021.

What was surprising was The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan losing another place. The first The Wheel of Time book should be going up with the release date for the series getting closer and all the NYCC 2021 promotion. However, this list only takes us up to Saturday, Oct. 9. There’s a chance we’ll see the movement up this week.
