The Stand and more on DVD and Blu-ray this week

Another Tuesday is on its way, and that means more shows and movies heading to DVD and Blu-ray. The Stand, The Nevers, and more are on the list this week.

After a quiet week last week, there’s more coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week. Whether you’re looking for a post-apocalyptic thriller or you want a fantasy series, there’s something for everyone.

The Stand is going to be at the top of the list for many. The Paramount+ remake of the 1994 miniseries brings us a modern-day, more inclusive version of the Stephen King story. There’s also an extra episode added, giving us a coda written by Stephen King that was never part of the original book or the movie.

The series itself has received mixed reviews. If you did enjoy it but don’t want to keep the Paramount+ subscription going to watch it, you’ll want to grab it on DVD and Blu-ray.

The Nevers, Escape Room 2, and more

If you’re a fan of fantasy series, The Nevers is something to grab on DVD and Blu-ray this week. It stars Laura Donnelly as Amalia True, who has gathered a group of people known as the Touched together. The Touched have been blessed with supernatural gifts, and they’re outcasts in the Victorian period London.

For those who prefer a horror and loved the first Escape Room, you’ll be happy to hear that Escape Room 2 is now coming to DVD and Blu-ray. Escape Room: Tournament of Champions sees those who have survived the games before get thrown back into another escape room they’ll need to fight to survive.

Six Minutes to Midnight is a movie starring Judi Dench that you’ll want to add to your DVD collection. It’s days before World War II begins, and Thomas Miller accepts a teaching position at an English finishing school. His students include daughters of some of Germany’s most influential families. Miller wants to figure out what’s really going on in this school.
