Welcome to Blumhouse is bringing four new movies to Amazon Prime Video for the 2021 Halloween season. Black as Night is one of the four films, and this one will give us vampires. All four films will be coming to Amazon in October.

The film is directed by Mariette Lee Go, known for her work on Phobias, Rise and Remittance. Executive Producers for the film are Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold, Marci Wiseman, Lisa Bruce, Maggie Malina, and Guy Stodel.

This year’s selection of films for Welcome to Blumhouse looks to be a wide variety of films sure to please horror and Blumhouse fans.

Black as Night release date

Amazon will release Black as Night on Oct. 1, along with Bingo Hell. You can schedule a great double feature with these two amazing-looking films.

The cast for this film includes Asjha Cooper, Fabrizio Guido, Mason Beauchamp, Abbie Gayle with Craig Tate, and Keith David.

Black as Night synopsis

This film follows a teenage girl Shawna (Cooper), who is forced to grow up quickly as she and her friends battle a group of vampires who are targeting people in New Orleans. The film takes place 15 years after Hurricane Katrina, and the vampires prey on the displaced population.

Shawna and her friends get in over their heads when they realize killing vampires is more challenging than they thought. They set out for the French Quarter to the vampire’s mansion, kill the leader which will return his minions to their former human selves. The teens are caught in an age-old battle between rival vampire factions.
