This is a good week to have your Amazon Prime Video membership running. There’s plenty of content streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

The first of the month arrives in the middle of the week, and you know what that means. It’s all about the new movies and TV shows streaming on Amazon. And there’s a big drop coming.

Amazon Prime Video is quiet for the first two days of the month. This is a good time to catch up on anything you missed in August. There are some TV shows leaving because they were only available for a month. You may find some movies leave as they were only around for a 30- or 31-day period.

But there’s a lot to look forward to from Wednesday onward. We’ve got a few top picks to check out to help cut out the overwhelm, and then we’ll get into the full list of arrivals throughout the week.

I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cinderella, and more

We’ll start with the biggest release of the whole week. The Amazon Original Movie Cinderella drops on Friday, Sept. 3. Camila Cabello has her first acting role as the titular character, and this is going to be different to the regular story you’ve heard of. Cinderella isn’t necessarily looking for her Prince Charming in this one!

If you like horror, there are a couple of options. The first is I Know What You Did Last Summer coming on Wednesday, Sept. 1. With the arrival of the Amazon series next month, now is a good time to watch the 1997 movie starring Jennifer Love Hewitt.

The other horror is The Descent. This one sees a group of women go caving, but they don’t head where they originally plan. While underground, they become trapped and have to find a new way out. The problem is they’re not alone. Some cannibals who hear everything threaten their lives.

For those with children, there are two great movies to check out. Stuart Little and Stuart Little 2 are streaming on Amazon. They need absolutely no introduction as you’ve likely seen them before. The kids will love them.
