Upload Season 2 is not coming to Amazon Prime Video in September 2021

There are a few big Amazon shows we’re waiting (im)patiently for, and Upload Season 2 is one of them. The wait is still on for this dramedy.

While 2020 brought us the pandemic, it also brought us some great new Amazon shows. Upload was one of them, starring Robbie Amell and Andy Allo. It brought us a great mixture of comedy and drama and ended on one of the best cliffhangers going.

Of course, that cliffhanger left us needing more. It didn’t take long for Amazon to renew the series. Then came the wait for the new season, which is longer than most waits for new seasons of Amazon shows because of the pandemic.

We’ve double-checked the list of September releases but we have bad news. Upload Season 2 is not heading to Amazon Prime Video next month. When could we see it arrive?

Upload Season 2 release date predictions

There is some good news. Filming has started and finished. We learned filming finished earlier this year, so now the wait is on just for the release. There is a chance that it will arrive sometime this year.

It all depends on how long the post-production process takes. There is a lot of work within this stage of production due to the technological elements of the show. A lot of the characters are in a digital afterlife where everything is computerized. In the real world, there are technological advances that we don’t have today, which means extra visual effects.

We’re hoping to see Upload Season 2 before the end of 2021. However, it could be the start of 2022. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on any news about this series.
