Is Annette 2 happening?

Annette is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video as well as being in theaters. Is there a chance Annette 2 will happen at Amazon?

If you’re looking for a musical movie, Amazon Prime Video has you covered. Annette stars Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard as Henry and Ann. When they fall in love and get married, they have no idea how much their lives will change. Then they have a daughter who has a special gift, and suddenly nothing is the same again.

The cast is outstanding, and the movie is weirdly fabulous. Naturally, you’ll want more of this after you’ve watched it.

Is there going to be a sequel? What are the chances of Amazon ordering Annette 2?

Annette 2 probably won’t happen

As of writing this, there are no plans to bring a sequel to the movie. That doesn’t mean there won’t be a second movie, but right now, it was planned as just the one movie.

With the way things ended, there isn’t really a need for a second movie. Okay, there are some questions about what to expect for Henry after Annette’s statement on stage (no spoilers for those who haven’t watched it yet!), but that doesn’t mean there is a follow-on story.

Are we just accepting that this is Henry and Annette’s life now? Have Annette’s gifts come to an end now? Those are the questions we do need answering, and it’s Annette’s story if there are still gifts there that could come back out as she gets older.

This is something we’ll keep an eye on. However, right now, we’re not expecting Annette 2 to happen at Amazon Prime Video. We’ll let you know if something changes.
