Whether you agree or disagree with the winner of Making the Cut Season 2 (no spoilers here if you haven’t seen the finale yet!), the season has come to an end. That’s another round of designers put to the test.

The season certainly had a slightly different feel to it. There was just something a little lackluster about the lack of travel. Hopefully, there’s a chance to get that back for Making the Cut Season 3, bringing in inspiration from around the world.

Eyes will be on Making the Cut Season 3. Could it arrive on Amazon Prime Video this year?

Making the Cut Season 3 won’t come in 2021

There’s a very slim chance that we’ll get to see the third season on Amazon Prime Video this year. We start with the bad news that Amazon hasn’t renewed it yet. This doesn’t mean the season won’t happen, but there isn’t that confirmation just yet.

Even if it was renewed already, it’s unlikely to be ready for 2021. It took about 16 months between the first two seasons. While the second season did film during the pandemic, it was in a bubble to help reduce the risk of COVID cases. One of the benefits of reality shows is they’ve been able to easily film in a bubble.

We’re hoping for travel in the third season, which means the show will have to wait for the pandemic travel restrictions to lift. This would mean 2022 is the earliest we’ll get the third season. Even without travel, it would likely be the end of 2022 for the new season to arrive.
