The Wilds Season 2 is not coming to Amazon in August 2021

The Wilds is certainly a show we’re excited to see more of, but there’s a wait on our hands. The Wilds Season 2 is not coming this month.

If there’s one YA series you need to check out, it’s The Wilds. The Amazon series is a mixture of Lost and Gossip Girl, with a group of teenage girls stranded on an island together. They need to work together to survive, but it turns out they may not be there by accident.

In fact, they’re definitely not there by accident. How much do their parents know? What will they experience while trapped alone? All of this is something the first season delves into, but there’s much more to come. We were left with far too many questions at the end of the first season.

The good news is The Wilds Season 2 is definitely happening. The bad news is that it won’t happen this month. We’ve double-checked the list, but the series is definitely not on there.

The Wilds Season 2 release date predictions

If we’re honest, we didn’t expect to see the second season this month. Filming is still ongoing, so of course, it’s not ready just yet. After that, there is the post-production phase.

When can we expect it? Filming didn’t get started until April 2021. We’re probably expecting a year at least from the filming starting, so the earliest we’ll probably see the second season is April 2022. This would be a little later than the usual timeframe of 14 months between seasons, but there was a pandemic to contend with.

Collider shared the eight males joining the series. They’ll make up the Twilight of Adam camp, and it’s time to find out more about that experiment.
