Carnival Row Season 2 is not coming to Amazon in August 2021

Carnival Row Season 2 is one of the shows we’re looking forward to seeing. Sadly, it’s not on the list of shows arriving on Amazon in August 2021.

We’ve double-checked the list of August releases on Amazon Prime Video, but the fantasy series definitely isn’t on the list. There’s still a bit of a wait for Carnival Row Season 2 on Amazon.

If we’re honest, we didn’t expect to see the show on the list of releases. Yes, this marks two years since the first season, but there are some extenuating circumstances for the wait. It’s all about the pandemic. Filming was halted partway through the season and only got back on track earlier this year.

There was talk at one point of splitting the season in half, but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen now. So, when can we expect the new season to arrive?

Carnival Row Season 2 release date predictions

We’re looking at a bit of a wait still. According to Midgard Times, the series returned to Prague to continue filming the second season. We had heard that filming had wrapped, but it looks like not everything could finish. Orlando Bloom wasn’t available due to the birth of his child.

After that, there will be the post-production work. This type of show takes a lot of work in post due to the visual effects, so we’re looking at months until it’s ready.

It’s possible that Carnival Row Season 2 won’t be available until 2022 now. We’re hoping for a little sooner, but we’d rather have the series perfect than rushed!
