Is Jack Ryan renewed for Season 3?

When it comes to book adaptations, the Jack Ryan series on Amazon has hit the mark for two seasons. Will we see more of the series on Amazon Prime Video?

It’s not easy to bring books to the small screen. We all have different visions of the characters and moments that stand out. However, the Amazon series Jack Ryan has certainly managed to bring Tom Clancy’s books to life in a positive way.

The series has hit the mark for two seasons. There’s no doubt that we want to see more, but the question is whether Amazon has even renewed the series.

It’s been a long time since the second season dropped on Amazon Prime Video. It was back in November 2019, so has the series been canceled or renewed?

Jack Ryan Season 3 is happening at Amazon Prime Video

There is some excellent news. Jack Ryan Season 3 was confirmed before the second season even premiered. We got to go into the second season knowing that it didn’t matter about any cliffhangers. We’d get to see more of Jack and the team.

Filming is underway, with new cast members recently announced. Betty Gabriel has joined the series as Elizabeth Wright, who will take over as Chief of Station, Marianne Jean-Baptiste was originally going to join the series in this role, but she exited the show over creative differences, according to Deadline.

James Cosmo, Peter Guinness, Nina Hoss, and Alexej Manvelov will also join the series.

The third season sees Jack in a race against time while on the run. He’s now a fugitive after being wrongly implicated in a much larger conspiracy and is wanted by both the CIA and some international rogue faction. Can he stay alive and prove his innocence while preventing a major global conflict?

We’ll have to wait some time for the season. There’s a chance it will arrive in 2021, but we could have to wait until 2022.
