Alex Rider Season 1 was the adaptation of the books that we always wanted, and a second season is coming. Here’s what we know about Alex Rider Season 2 so far.

It was natural to be worried about the adaptation of the Alex Rider books. The author of the novel series we all grew up with, Anthony Horowitz, certainly help to settle some fears and concerns with his excitement for the show, but there was always going to be some apprehension.

In the end, the adaptation was everything we needed and more. Based on Point Blanc, it didn’t just introduce the characters but developed characters from the books that we didn’t expect to spend so much time with. It broke down some of the tropes in spy shows, but still kept enough to make it feel like the book series we’d come to know and love.

There’s no way we weren’t excited to find out about Alex Rider Season 2. What do we know about the season so far?

Alex Rider Season 2 release date

There isn’t a release date set just yet, but that’s not surprising. Filming for the second season was delayed due to the pandemic. It started up in February 2021.

There is a chance that we could see it arrive in 2021. However, it’s potentially going to be sometime in 2022. We’ll certainly keep an eye out for this date and any hints about when it could arrive.

There are a few actors we’re expecting to see return to the series for the second season. The first is Otto Farrant as Alex Rider. After all, there’s no show without the titular character!

There isn’t a trailer for the season just yet, which isn’t surprising since filming only got underway a few months ago. We’ll bring the trailer as soon as it happens.

Alex Rider Season 2 synopsis

The second season will adapt the novel Eagle Strike. It’s the fourth book in the series and follows Damian Cray, a popstar who wants to destroy the world’s drug-making countries. His idea is to hijack the nuclear arsenal in the U.S.

Alex takes on Cray without the help of MI6, and Alex needs to figure out the connection between Cray’s plan and Cray’s new video game “Feathered Serpent.”
