For the first time in a few weeks, there were no new books joining the list of most read Amazon books between May 23 and 29, 2021. However, there was some movement.

All the movement on the list of most read Amazon books involved the current books between themselves. Most of the movement was in the second half of the list.

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir continues to hold the top spot on the list. This isn’t all too surprising considering the popularity of his novels. The Harry Potter books mostly cover the rest of the Top 10, with a couple of other books thrown in there.

This is where there was a little movement, with two of the Harry Potter books moving up and The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah and The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave dropping a place each.

The only “new” book on the list was a reentry. Brandon Sanderson’s Oathbringer made its way back on the list, knocking The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett off.

Shadow and Bone moves down, Beatrix Potter moves up

What about the rest of the list? This is where a lot of the movement happened. The Timeless Tales of Beatrix Potter gained three places on the list, proving that Peter Rabbit is still popular. It was the biggest move on the list, both up and down.

When it came to movement down, Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bargudo lost the move places. It went down two places into 17th place. It’s not surprising as new shows on Netflix take over, and the books other shows are based on start to move out of the list.
