The Boys Season 3 is not coming to Amazon Prime Video in June 2021

If you were hoping to see The Boys Season 3 premiere this summer, there’s some disappointing news. It wasn’t on the list of arrivals on Amazon Prime Video in June 2021.

There are a few Amazon shows that we’re excited to see more of. The Boys is definitely one of those.

The great news is we know The Boys Season 3 is happening. The bad news is that we’re not getting it yet. It wasn’t on the list of June releases on Amazon Prime Video. We checked that list twice!

To be honest, we’re not all too surprised it wasn’t on the list. After all, filming is still going on!

When will The Boys Season 3 come to Amazon Prime Video?

Filming continues in Toronto. It wasn’t that long ago that Jensen Ackles got out of quarantine in Canada, which means that his scenes have only just started. Filming began at the start of the year, and we’re looking at it being closer to the end of the year when filming and post-production will come to an end.

In fact, it could take longer for post-production. This is a long process with a series filled with graphics, such as The Boys.

With that in mind, we’re probably looking at the start of 2022 for Season 3. We will keep a close eye on the list of releases each month just in case!

The Boys Season 3 will likely get a weekly release. Well, more like a hybrid release like Season 2. We’ll probably get the first three episodes at once and then the rest of the eight episodes released on a weekly basis.

This was a show decision so it’s time to stop review-bombing the series and blaming Amazon! There is so much that goes on in each episode that the creators want you to have time to appreciate it all, and weekly releases allow for that.
