Why does Heather choose to play the game in the Panic series premiere?
Everyone had their reasons to play the game Panic on the Amazon series. Heather didn’t initially want to play, but what pulled her in?
While all graduating high school seniors had the opportunity to play Panic, not all of them would choose to. Not everyone needed to, and not everyone really wanted to put themselves through the intense situations.
Heather originally didn’t plan to play. Of course, we knew something was going to pull our main protagonist into the game, but the question was always going to be “what?” Heather, who was described as being afraid of everything, needed a reason to take part in the game.
She already had a plan for the future. She didn’t need to get over her fears for that. Nor did she really need the money at the end. Well, not right away. That’s what changed things for Heather.
Heather lost her college money on the Panic series premiere
Heather worked throughout her high school years to put enough money aside for college. She had it all in a shoebox, and it was all organized to make sure she had some
spending money
money to give to her mom and enough for college.
When her job fired her, she was a little worried. However, things fell into place. There was a chance to make up the $500 that she needed for tuition.
Then things turned really bad. She got to her shoebox to find it almost emptied out. Her mom took the money to pay for a new transmission in her car. Heather was left with nothing to pay for college, and she didn’t have time to make that money back through work.
She had no choice but to take part in Panic. She needed to win to get that life-changing sum of money. Of course, her best friend wasn’t happy about that since she was playing too, but Heather needs to get out of the living situation she’s currently in. The game is the way to do that.
