It’s a new week, and there are some changes on the list of most read Amazon books. A new Andy Weir book enters high as Shadow and Bone moves.

When it comes to the Top 5 on the list of most sold Amazon books, it’s rare that there are changes. Usually, the changes are books between themselves, but there’s a new book in fifth place.

Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary has entered the list. Considering the popularity of The Martain, it’s not really that surprising. In this novel, an astronaut is on a mission to save the Earth, but he doesn’t remember that at first and he needs to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

It wasn’t the only new book on the list. The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave entered in 19th place. The addition isn’t surprising as it is Reese Witherspoon’s book club pick.

Plenty of movement on the list of most read books on Amazon

The week has seen plenty of movement from the books already on the list. The biggest drop on list was The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It lost 10 places, dropping into 15th place.

However, the most notable drop is Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. After just entering the list last week, it dropped two places this week. We had expected to see it gain on the list. It is possible that the sold books are physical copies that aren’t tracked as being read by Amazon.

When it comes to movement up, Sooley by John Grisham gained the most spots, going up five places to 13th place. A notable movement up is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling, which gained a spot to take over the top spot on the list. The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah dropped a place.
