5 movies on Amazon you need to watch in May 2021

We’ll start with the Amazon Original Movie and then go into the list of releases, with most of them dropping on May 1.

The Boy From Medellín

The Amazon Original Movie is an immersive look into J Belvin’s life and career. Everything takes place in the week leading up to the concert The Boy From Medellín, a sold-out stadium show in Balvin’s hometown of Medellín, Colombia.

It’s an exciting opportunity for the international superstar. However, it’s also filled with apprehension and nerves, especially as the streets explode with political unrest. Balvin tackles anxiety and depression in the lead-up, two mental health problems that he’s dealt with for many years.

Resident Evil

Love action and horror mixed into one? You’ll want to pay attention to a selection of movies on Amazon next month. Resident Evil and Resident Evil: Apocalypse are coming to Amazon Prime Video on May 1.

The movies are based on the game franchise of the same name and follow Milla Jovovich’s Alice, a former security specialist and covert operative. She focuses her attacks on the Umbrella Corporation, a company that triggered a zombie apocalypse through its bioweapons.

Only two of the seven movies are coming to Amazon in May.

The Da Vinci Code

If you loved the book The Da Vinci Code, it’s certainly worth taking the time to watch the movie. It’s Tom Hanks, and you know you love to support him! You can follow on with Angels and Demons, also on Amazon Prime Video on May 1.

The movies switch the timeline around compared to the books, but the bulk of the story hasn’t really changed. Professor Robert Langdon becomes a suspect in a murder, but he needs to figure out the clues to a much bigger conspiracy and secret.

The Sixth Sense

Next up is one of M. Night Shyamalan’s best movies. Even knowing how it all ends now, the movie still doesn’t get boring. In fact, now it’s fun to see what you missed the first time around—all those clues that made it clear how it was going to end.

The Sixth Sense follows Dr. Malcolm Crowe who wants to help a young boy who sees ghosts. Not all the ghosts know they’re dead, and he’s scared of what they can do. That is until he realizes the benefits of his abilities.

Watch on May 1.

The Age of Adaline

She doesn’t grow old, and she refuses to get close to people so they don’t find out her secret.
