Amazon Prime Video new releases in May 2021

Can you believe May 2021 is almost here? It’s hard to believe the year is flying by so quickly. Here’s what’s coming to Amazon Prime Video.

The month of May is on the quieter side than April. For the first time in about a year, there’s nothing coming from the Amazon Channels add-ons. It’s the first month without the first season of TV shows to entice you into the various channels.

It’s certainly felt, too. With the pandemic and filming delays, it means that this month is going to be a little harder to get through.

That being said, there are still some excellent new arrivals throughout the month. Here’s a look at the 60 titles coming to Amazon Prime Video throughout May 2021.

The Underground Railroad, Panic, and more

The Underground Railroad is most definitely the most highly anticipated release of the month. Based on the novel of the same name by Colson Whitehead. It follows Cora Randall who makes a desperate attempt to flee the Antebellum South.

After getting away from the Georgia plantation, she comes across the Underground Railroad. It’s not a metaphor. There is a real railroad in tunnels under the Southern land. However, she’s going to have her work cut out for her when she has people after her.

At the end of the month, a series called Panic is arriving. Set in Carp, Texas, graduating seniors take part in a series of challenges. Each of these challenges is designed to help the seniors confront their darkest fears with the chance of winning money. Let the games begin.

If you’re looking for something for the family, the two Nanny McPhee movies are coming to Amazon Prime Video. There’s no way you can say no to these.
