Soul and more coming to Digital this week

Soul, Blithe Spirit, and more on Amazon Video
The biggest release of the week is going to be Disney Pixar’s Soul. It’s an excellent story of finding purpose. What Joe Gardner thinks his purpose is, turns out to be something that’s causing problems in his life. After his death, he ends up in The Great Before, where souls develop their personalities. What does it teach him about his life?
If you love the Noël Coward play Blithe Spirit, you’ll want to check out the 2021 movie. It’s coming to Amazon Video this week, and stars Dan Stevens, Leslie Mann, Isla Disher, and Judi Dench.
The story is the one you know. Charles Condomine has severe writer’s block, something he’s suffered from since the death of Elvira, his first wife. After he watches a show by Madame Arcati, an eccentric clairvoyant, he is convinced she’s a fraud. However, he gets more than he bargained for when she summons the ghost of Elvira.
