Just a week after the spin-off novel entered the list, Sarah J. Maas’s A Court of Thorns and Roses is now on the list of most sold Amazon books.

It’s arguably not that surprising that A Court of Thorns and Roses is now on the list. After all, when a spin-off novel becomes popular, it draws attention to the main series if people haven’t read them yet.

What is surprising is that this is the first week for A Court of Thorns and Roses to be on the list of most sold Amazon books. Maas’s series is extremely popular in the YA space, so I would have thought it would have been on this list when first released. The book isn’t all that old, being released in 2015 so it’s not like it predates this type of list.

It has entered in 20th place, but I think next week that we’ll see it rise further up. We may also see it enter the list of most read Amazon books this week.

Elsewhere on the list of most sold books on Amazon

A Court of Silver Flames did rise up the list after entering during the previous week. It gained 14 spot to land in second place. This meant Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah dropped a place, but it remains a highly popular book.

There was a lot of movement elsewhere. Despite entering in third place, Fearless in Death by J.D. Robb was nowhere on the list last week. The Sanatorium by Sarah Pearse dropped seven places, but does remain in the Top 15. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab dropped six places, landing in 19th place.

However, I Love You to the Moon and Back by Amelia Hepworth did gain six places to get into 13th place. Mermaids Activity Book by Make Believe Ideas LTD. entered the list well in fourth place.

Another new addition was Relentless by Mark Greaney, entering just outside the Top 5 in sixth place.
