Will Carnival Row Season 2 come to Amazon in 2021?

All eyes are on when some of the top-rated Amazon shows will arrive. Carnival Row Season 2 is one we’ve waited a while for, but will it come in 2021?

We’ve waited since August 2019 for Carnival Row Season 2. Okay, so it’s not really fair to say we’ve waited that long. That’s just when the first season dropped, but we know a second season was coming before that. Amazon renewed the series ahead of the release date.

Production did start pretty much right away on the series. In fact, the show was just weeks away from finishing things up when the pandemic hit and everyone had to return home.

At one point, there was the suggestion of releasing the first half of the season on Amazon early and then bringing the second half at a later date. That doesn’t seem to be the plan anymore as production on Carnival Row Season 2 has now wrapped.

Carnival Row Season 2 could arrive in 2021

Since production has wrapped, there is a lot of good news. There’s a strong chance that we’ll see Carnival Row Season 2 sometime in 2021.

The show still needs to go through post-production. This can take longer than the majority of shows, such as Bosch and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, as there tends to be a lot more CGI in fantasy and sci-fi shows. However, it shouldn’t take an entire year to get through the work.

It’s possible that we may get the show sometime in summer 2021. Maybe fall at the latest. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any news about the Carnival Row Season 2 release date.
