The Expanse Season 6 is officially happening. When will it arrive? Who will be on the show? Here’s what we know about The Expanse Season 6 so far.

There is a little bit of bad news when it comes to The Expanse Season 6. It is also the final season of the series, but this is a creative decision and not wholly an Amazon one. The writers now have a chance to create wrapped-up storylines for all the characters.

With the fifth season only just finished, it’s hard to fill in all the information right now. However, we will update this post as we get all the information.

Here’s what we do know about The Expanse Season 6 so far.

The Expanse Season 6 release date

We don’t have a release date just yet. However, the good news is Ontario is still open for filming despite the stay-at-home orders for the pandemic, which means production on the sixth season can start filming soon.

There is a chance we’ll get the sixth season around December 2021. However, it could be pushed to early 2022. It’s sure to be worth the wait.

Will it be a weekly release again? It was a creative decision to release weekly to keep people talking about the show longer, allowing for the awesome aftershow with Wes Chatham and Ty Franck. We could see the show wanting to do the same for the final season.

Update: The Expanse Season 6 will premiere on Friday, Dec. 10. It will get a weekly release and there will only be six episodes, with the series finale airing on Friday, Jan. 14.

The Expanse Season 6 cast

Most of the Roci crew will return. Steven Strait, Dominique Tipper, and Wes Chatham are all returning as Holden, Naomi, and Amos respectively.

The only one not returning is Cas Anvar, which was announced when the sixth season was confirmed. Due to the investigation into allegations, the show opted to remove him from the series.

Who will the pilot be? Nadine Nicole is sticking around as Clarissa/Peaches.

• Frankie Adams as Bobbie
• Cara Gee as Camina
• Anna Hopkins as Monica

The Expanse Season 6 trailer

There isn’t a trailer just yet. The Expanse will likely release the Season 6 trailer around a month before the premiere date, and we’ll be sure to add it here when we have it.

We don’t know what is going to happen on the sixth season. With the way things ended in Season 5, there is still the Marco problem and the ring gates to deal with.
