5 big questions for The Expanse Season 5 finale

The Expanse Season 5, Episode 9 left us with some major questions for the end. Here are the biggest for The Expanse Season 5 finale.

It’s not often that a TV show remains absolutely brilliant. After around three seasons, things can take a slump. But that’s not been the case for The Expanse, and even with the entire Roci crew separated, the show is still one that leaves us needing more.

There isn’t much left. Not only is it The Expanse Season 5 finale next week, but there is only one more season of the series. Season 6 is happening, but it’s the confirmed end. However, we know it’s going out with a bang.

Before that happens, we need to look at what’s to come in the fifth season finale. These are the questions we have.

Will Amos get to the Roci to help?

Right now, Amos is heading to Luna. The good thing is that he’s off Earth, but there are going to be a lot of questions to answer on Luna. And we can’t forget that he has Peaches with him—who Avasarala will know better as Clarissa Mao.

Amos will need to answer a few questions, but his focus is going to be getting back to his crew. The problem is everyone is all over the place. So, can he get back to them before the finale comes to an end or will we never have the entire crew together again?

What will Camina do next?

Camina has learned Naomi is likely alive. Not everyone wants to work with Marco, so Camina could use that to her advantage.

She needs to get to Naomi’s ship. She needs to avoid following Marco’s orders to shoot down the Roci. The question is what that will mean for her? What is going to happen in the Season 5 finale?

Oksana wants to play the long game. At least, that’s the way it looks like—and that’s what I hope is happening. She’ll want Camina to do the same for survival.

Will Marco meet his end on The Expanse Season 5 finale?

There are a few characters who could potentially meet their end in the fifth season finale. One of those is Marco.

He came up during the fourth season, but became the big villain in this season. Is he just a one-season villain?

It’s certainly possible, allowing the show to focus on taking down those on Mars who had sold weapons to him. However, it’s also possible that Filip will be the one to make a sacrifice and Marco will continue as the Season 6 villain. That would lead to Naomi wanting to go on a revenge mission for the death of her son—and she will rightfully blame Marco regardless of the events.

What’s Avasarala’s next move on the finale?

Avasarala is back in a position of power, and she has some good support behind her. She doesn’t have all the support she could potentially need, though. That won’t stop her from pushing her own wishes, which isn’t to blow up Ceres like a few others wanted.

But what will Avasarala do? What are her plans moving forward, especially when she’ll want some revenge against Marco for Arjun’s death? Usually, she turns to the Roci crew for some sort of help or even Bobbie, but there’s nobody around who would be able to help right now.

Will the current Roci crew follow Holden’s orders?

Holden is struggling without his usual crew. Not everyone wants to follow his orders, especially since they’re clouded by his love for Naomi. What everyone is failing to consider is that Naomi will have some extra knowledge about Marco. She needs to be saved.

But will everyone follow Holden when it comes down to it? And what will they all do if Camina’s ship starts firing at him?

We could end up with one big showdown during The Expanse Season 5 finale.
