Bosch Season 7 release date, cast, trailer, synopsis, and more
Bosch Season 7 is definitely happening. Now it’s time to look at when we can expect it, the cast, and more. Here’s what we know so far.
The great news is that we know Bosch Season 7 is happening. Amazon hasn’t “unrenewed” the show like what Netflix has done with a few shows. In fact, the series wrapped up filming recently and will be going through post-production now.
What we don’t know yet is when the season will be released. That’s okay, there’s still time. But it doesn’t stop us looking out for signs of when the season will arrive.
Here’s what we know so far about Bosch Season 7. Updates will come as they come.
Bosch Season 7 release date
While there isn’t a release date just yet, there is the possibility of projecting a release date. Bosch Season 7 finished filming on Jan. 21 according to a Facebook post from author of the novels Michael Connelly.
There is time for post-production to allow for an April 2021 release date. This would match the release date of previous seasons and was a release month we expected.
We’ll be sure to keep a look out for the official release date when Amazon announces it.
Update (May 13, 2021): Bosch Season 7 is coming on June 25, 2021
Bosch Season 7 cast
Of course, Titus Welliver will return as Harry Bosch. There is no series without him. We will also see Jamie Hector return as Jerry Edgar.
The following will also return:
- Amy Aquino as Lt. Grace Billets
- Lance Reddick as Chief Irvin Irving
- Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch
Deadline recently reported that Gina Vento and Carlos Miranda are joining the series as Mickey and Det. Chris Collins respectively.
Bosch Season 7 trailer
There isn’t a trailer just yet, but that’s not surprising. Filming has just finished at the time of writing this. On top of that, a trailer isn’t usually released until closer to the release date (unless Amazon wants to be a big tease like with The Boys Season 2).
We’re expecting a trailer about a month or so before the release date. We’ll be sure to update when we have it.
Update (May 13, 2021): Take a look at the Bosch Season 7 teaser trailer:
Bosch Season 7 synopsis
Since there isn’t a release date or trailer, there’s no synopsis either. We do know that the season will be based on the book The Concrete Blonde and The Burning Room. If you’re scratching your head at The Concrete Blonde, yes it was also used as source material for the first season.
Bosch and his partner Jerry Edgar will be dealing with separate murder investigations during the season. One will work on a case that involves street drugs, while the other involves white-collar crimes.
The bad news about the series is that it is the final season. We have no idea how the show will wrap up the story, but the final season order came with the renewal, so the writers will have worked that out.
Update (May 13, 2021): The storyline for the season was released with the premiere date and teaser. It focuses on the death of a 10-year-old girl in an arson fire. Bosch wants justice for her, but there are many powerful forces against him. It’s both a politically sensitive and charged case with Bosch being pushed to the limits.
