What to watch on Amazon this week: Chick Fight and more

What to watch on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Channels this week

It’s an extremely quiet week coming up on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Channels. That doesn’t mean there’s nothing to watch on Amazon, but you’ll certainly be excited about the Feb. 1 drop next Monday!

Amazon Prime Video doesn’t have anything new dropping until Friday, Jan. 29. Chick Fight and Mortal both drop. They were both released during the pandemic, and both received mixed reviews.

Chick Fight stars Bella Thorne in a movie that is a little like Fight Club but with women. Well, the initial premise is. A woman joins an underground fight club for women, and she starts to learn a lot more about herself.

Mortal gained praise from viewers but mixed reviews from critics. It follows a psychologist who wants to help a man with powers. This man can burn people and objects through touch.

If those two movies don’t catch your attention, this is an excellent weekend to check out content from earlier in the month. You likely haven’t got through all the movies that dropped on Jan. 1. You can also check out the Amazon Originals from throughout the month, including One Night in Miami and Herself.

What to watch on Amazon Channels this week

Now it comes to the Amazon Channels offerings. We don’t usually need to turn to them during the week, but with just two releases on Amazon Prime Video, they’re needed.

Sadly, even the Amazon Channels don’t have too much arriving during the week.

Sundance Now has an excellent option for fans of true-crime fans. The Night Caller Episode 2 drops on Tuesday. You can already watch the first episode. There are two more episodes to the series coming in February.

If you loved Love My Way Season 1, you’ll be happy to hear the second season drops on Monday, Jan. 25 on Acorn TV.

For those who love comedy, BritBox is the place to turn. All eight seasons of the British series Red Dwarf are coming on Tuesday, Jan. 26. You really don’t need anything else all week.
