Bliss trailer: Owen Wilson stars in a mind-bending Amazon movie

Bliss is the latest movie coming to Amazon Prime Video

With many productions shut down or delayed, Amazon is turning its attention to the movies it is still to bring. Bliss is one of those movies, and it’s coming soon.

The official release date is Friday, Feb. 5, 2021. There isn’t long to wait for this mind-bending, reality-questioning movie.

It does have a few Matrix vibes. Wilson plays a man who finds out that his unfulfilled life is possibly just a simulation. He’s actually in a world that’s blissful, with the simulation a reminder of all the bad so the good isn’t taken for granted. It’s not quite on the same level as Matrix, but the idea of two realities and trying to tell which one is real and which one isn’t is up there.

Throughout the movie, Wilson’s character needs to figure out what is real and what isn’t. Can he really believe the blissful state is the real world when the bad world starts to bleed in? Will he really choose to leave his daughter behind in the bad world, believing that she’s not even real?

Bliss trailer gives us a look at what to expect

The trailer for the movie doesn’t give all that much away. It doesn’t tell us which world is real. Not really.

That’s something we’ll learn along with Wilson’s character. However, it does give us a look at some of the things on the line for this man who needs to make a choice.
