Will Filip think Naomi is dead on The Expanse?

Filip watched Naomi take a huge risk on The Expanse Season 5, Episode 7

Naomi took a huge risk during The Expanse Season 5, Episode 7. Filip watched it all, but did he see what she had planned or will he think she’s died?

It’s hard to say exactly what he saw. From where he was, he would have been able to see Naomi throw herself out of the airlock and Cyn attempt to stop her. What he probably wouldn’t have seen was that she had a vial of oxygenated blood in her hands to make sure she could survive getting to her boobytrapped ship.

Would Filip have been able to see the ship in the distance? Would he have seen Naomi get to the ship and manage to open the door?

Probably not. Cyn’s body would have blocked the view. On top of that, the ship would have been too far away to see everything that happened. It may have even been on an angle that would have made it impossible to see Naomi reach the ship.

Will Filip tell Marco everything that happened on The Expanse?

Marco wasn’t there to see it all on The Expanse Season 5, Episode 7. It’s up to Filip to relay everything that happened in the airlock, but he can only say what he saw.

From his angle, he probably saw Naomi throw herself out of the airlock and that’s it. With the story she already told him, he would have potentially believed that she did kill herself. After all, she had just found out that Marco had set a trap for Holden that would kill him.

Will Marco care about what Naomi did? Probably not. If he believes she’s killed herself, he’s not going to worry about what she could do to stop his plan. It’s one less problem for him to deal with. It’s not like he didn’t want to space her in the first place.

If Filip says he thinks Naomi got to the boobytrapped ship, is it possible that Marco will act? He won’t want Naomi messing around with his trap. But then that will depend on what he knows of her skills, whether he believes she’s good enough to fix anything he did to the ship.

Chances are Filip thinks (or wants Marco to think) that Naomi is dead. That way Naomi can do something to prevent Holden flying into a trap.
