One of the movies is an Amazon Original, and it’s a highly inspirational movie. One movie is on Amazon Channels and will help you see a popular comedian in a new light.

Herself

The first movie on our list is the Amazon Original. Herself is an Irish movie that focuses on a woman who just wants to offer her daughters the best life possible. The problem is everything is against her.

She is out of an abusive relationship with a man who will do anything to get her back. The council doesn’t want her going through with the plan that she has to build her family a home. Can she find a way to make things work?

Gretel & Hansel

For those who prefer horror movies, Gretel & Hansel is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The story is a remake of the Hansel and Gretel story that you know and love.

When two siblings find a house in the middle of the woods, they hope it’s someone to help them. Instead, it’s a witch who is going to eat them. Can the siblings get themselves free and find help?

The Silencing

On Jan. 8, another movie dropped on Amazon Prime Video, and it’s on our list of must-see movies on Amazon this weekend. The Silencing stars Game of Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as a reformed hunter who teams up with a female sheriff to find a killer who may have kidnapped his daughter five years ago.

It’s a fun cat and mouse thriller that gives you a chance to see Jaime Lannister in a completely different light.

Mighty Oaks

Earlier this week, Mighty Oaks dropped on Amazon Prime Video. Now is a great time to check it out.

The story follows Gina, the manager of her brother’s band. When her brother is suddenly killed, she struggles with the grief. When a talented guitar player comes into her life 10 years late, she’s sure it’s her brother’s soul.

The King of Staten Island

The last of the must-see movies on Amazon is on HBO and dropped today. The King of Staten Island is finally available to stream to your heart’s content.

Pete Davidson stars in a movie that is loosely based on his life. He is stuck in life, still dealing with the loss of his firefighter father during 9/11. Unable to deal with the loss, he struggles to support choices of others and finding a way to follow his dream to be a stand-up comic.
