5 most anticipated Amazon shows coming in 2021 (and possibly beyond)

4. Jack Reacher

Back in September 2020, Alan Ritchson was cast as the lead role in Amazon’s Jack Reacher series. Fans of the books and movies were already excited. This casting makes the adaptation feel all the more real, so it’s no wonder it’s one of the most anticipated Amazon shows of 2021.

The first season will follow the first book, The Killing Floor. It all starts with Jack Reacher arriving in Margrave, Georgia, where he’s arrested in a local diner for murder. Sheriff Morrison claims he saw Jack leave the murder scene, but how when Jack wasn’t even there?

Now Jack needs to prove his innocence, but how do you prove a negative? Fortunately, he has at least one person who believes he’s innocent and they may be able to work together to get to the bottom of the much bigger conspiracy.

With casting only just happening at the end of 2020, it’s unlikely we will get to see the series in 2021. That doesn’t stop fans from being excited about it.

3. The Lord of the Rings

There is one TV show that has been on our minds for some time. The Lord of the Rings is possibly one of the most anticipated TV shows overall, not just one of the most anticipated Amazon shows. It has fans of the books and the movies ready to delve back into Middle Earth.

Very little is known about the series. We get hints here and there about it.

We do know more about the cast. Just last month another 20 actors were confirmed as part of the cast.

One thing we don’t know is when the show will air. However, according to Gamespot, the series has reportedly finished filming. Lockdown may have actually helped it. Once the show got an exemption to get into New Zealand to film, it would have been able to focus on just filming that entire time.

Hopefully, this is one of the Amazon shows that makes it to us in 2021.
