Why did the girls get pulled off the island?

At some point, the girls were “saved” from the island. It’s clear that they’re still going through this experiment, even though they don’t realize it.

Something The Wilds Season 2 will need to answer is why the girls were pulled off the island. Was it all linked to the shark attack? That would have been the moment to act if Gretchen was going to at all. After all, lives have likely been lost.

Or does something else lead to Gretchen to act? Does she want to continue to see how they deal with the events of the shark attack?

What will the parents learn?

The parents don’t know what the Dawn of Eve really is. Eventually, they will need to learn what happened to their children.

Gretchen can’t say that the teens went missing. She’s been telling the parents how their children have done, lying to them about activities and the way the teens have reacted while out there. This is all going to come back to bite her. It has to.

But Gretchen is clearly trying to get the girls on side. She wants to reduce the chances of the parents finding out the full truth. And she’s willing to use skeletons in the closet to keep parents quiet. So, what will the parents learn happened to their children?
