Whether you want comedy or a heartfelt story, there is something for all. Some of the movies have only just joined, so you may be surprised to see them on the list. One thing is certain, though, the kids will love them.

Here are the five must-see movies on STARZ on Christmas Day 2020.

Elf

Just recently added to the streamer, Elf is one of the best Christmas movies of all time. Even if you’re not the biggest Will Ferrell fan (he can be a little too much at times), this is a movie you’ll adore.

Ferrell is Buddy the Elf. Well, he’s more like a human who is raised as an elf. When he goes to see his biological father, who is on Santa’s naughty list, he learns all about the human world and what he was supposed to be.

Prancer

Sometimes, you need a movie that is heartfelt and cute. Prancer is just that, and it is a chance to see the goodness in children.

A young girl finds an injured reindeer she’s certain is Santa’s own Prancer. She nurses the reindeer back to health in time for Christmas Eve. Is he really Prancer or just a reindeer she’s found injured in the forest? Either way, what she did was a beautiful thing.

A Christmas Carol

There are so many versions of A Christmas Carol out there. STARZ offers the 1984 movie starring George C. Scott and Frank Finlay.

The movie is just as you would expect. It focuses on Scrooge, who is visited by three ghosts of Christmas just before Christmas Day. We see his past, present, and future, but will it be enough to get him to change?

Arthur Christmas

There are so many animated must-see movies on STARZ this Christmas. One at the top has to be Arthur Christmas, the story of Santa’s son, Arthur.

When a Christmas gift is misplaced, Arthur has to do whatever it takes to find it. If he doesn’t, someone isn’t going to get their gift, and that can’t possibly happen.

Buttons: A Christmas Tale

Dick Van Dyke, Katie McGrath, and Ioan Gruffard star in Buttons: A Christmas Tale, about two young orphans who just want to find a home for Christmas. They, fortunately, have some guardian angels, and with their help, they discover miracles do happen after all.

It’s a beautiful tale of love and acceptance. And yes, there’s the message that sometimes you just have to believe.
