There are seven new additions to Amazon Prime Video between Dec. 21 and 25. It’s time to see what’s on its way for Christmas week.

There is one big release that all sci-fi fans are talking about. The Expanse Season 5, Episode 4 drops on Dec. 23. The aftershow special for the episode will also drop on the same day. After the events of Episode 3, maybe someone will start listening to the fears of Marco’s threat to Earth.

Sylvie’s Love has been moved up a couple of days

Originally, Sylvie’s Love was going to drop on Christmas Day. It looks like Amazon Prime Video has had a change of heart, and maybe some of that is to do with Wonder Woman 1984 dropping on HBO Max on the same day.

The movie is now set for release on Dec. 23. It’s a must-watch for those who adore well-written romance movies. This isn’t your standard light-hearted Hallmark movie (and there’s nothing wrong with them, but sometimes we want more). This is a movie that touches the heart and soul.

Tessa Thompson plays Sylvie, a woman who is trying to make it big as a TV producer. When she falls in love, her life takes her away. It’s decades later she comes across her love again, but now everything about their lives has changed. Has their love for one another?

Other movies on Amazon Prime Video this week

For the most part, it’s all about movies for Christmas week. That’s not surprising. With the kids home and preparations to be made, we don’t have time to binge-watch TV shows, right?

Someone Marry Barry is one of the releases for the week. It’s not rated highly from the critics, but this movie has a lot of heart. And it’s great for those who enjoy over-the-top comedies. Tyler Labine stars as Barry, a socially inappropriate man whose friends want to find a wife for. Well, the new girlfriend may be just as bad as he is when it comes to social inappropriateness.

The only movie not dropping on Dec. 23 is Soldiers of Fortune. The 2012 movie stars Christian Slater, Sean Bean, and Dominic Monaghan. Wealthy people are willing to pay huge premiums to be admitted on military adventures. When things go completely off plan, they find they may have to figure out how to be an actual soldier in the middle of a war.
