90 new titles are joining Amazon Prime Video in January 2021

Whether you want horror, comedy, or everything in between, there is a great selection of content coming to Amazon Prime Video in January 2021.

Not only are we coming to the end of another month, we’re coming to the end of the year. We’re ready to leave 2020 in the rearview mirror. It’s time to get ready for a new year, filled with excellent content.

Amazon Prime Video is getting off to an excellent start with 90 new titles joining the streaming service during the month. There is something for all.

Notable Amazon Originals during January 2021

Let’s start with a look at the list of Amazon Originals joining throughout the month. There are a few notable mentions depending on what you’re interested in.

It all starts with Herself, which will drop on the streamer on Friday, Jan. 8. The movie is about a woman who finds herself living on borrowed time to keep her children with her. To do that, she decides it’s time to build her own dream house, and there are plans to do that. But what happens when her abusive ex stands in her way?

There’s one original you may have already heard of. You may have even seen. Flack Season 1 is heading to Amazon Prime Video on Jan. 22. It did originally air on Pop in the United States, but it didn’t fare too well on the network. It has since been saved by Amazon Prime Video, and will hopefully get a new life.

The series follows four flackers led by Anna Paquin’s Robyn. Together, they have to make their celebrity clients’ worst decisions look good. How will they clean up the atrocious acts?

You won’t want to miss out on One Night in Miami, a movie that sees Cassius Clay, Malcolm X, Sam Cooke, and Jim Brown meet for one night in 1964. Clay would later become Muhammad Ali, making a name for himself as one of the greatest boxers to live. The series is a fictional account of the struggles the men faced during the civil rights movement in the ’60s. You can watch on Jan. 15.

Other content coming to Amazon Prime Video

The month will see plenty of excellent third-party content arriving. All seasons of Dexter will join the service, after leaving Netflix at the end of December. Even if you hate the way the show ended, you’ll want to rewatch the earlier seasons ready for the revival on SHOWTIME.

Then there are all nine seasons of How I Met Your Mother. Again, the season ended terribly, but it was a great run up until then. And you get to play a bit of “how will they hide the baby bump” for two of the female stars during the seasons.

Prefer a horror movie? Gretel and Hansel is finally coming to streaming. It’s another take on the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale that you need to check out.
